Imprimatur Foundation, organizers of the Literary Contests Imprimatur, celebrates the 14th May the award of the first edition of the same.

The Imprimatur Foundation (Astronomy St., 9 / www.fundacionimprimatur.org), Corporate social responsibility of ADN Graphic Arts Center, and organizer of the Imprimátur literary contests, on-line initiative, pioneer in Internet, celebrates awards of the First Edition Literary Contest Imprimatur.

The awards ceremony will be held in the halls of the hotel AXOR Fair ***Tomorrow, Friday May 14th, at 21.00h, in the halls of Hotel Axor Fair ***, will take place the ceremony which will present all finalists and make the act of awards. Axor Madrid Hotels chain supports the birth of a literary contest, nonprofit, launched by the Foundation Imprimatur, sponsoring the event.

The event will have submitted more than 200 works from different countries, including Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Cuba, Uruguay, Paraguay, Peru ... of which 110 have been shortlisted. All participating works have been available to Internet users in www.imprimatur.es, who, with their votes, have chosen the five finalists.

Among them, the jury, comprising members of the Imprimatur Foundation and persons connected with the literary world, has selected the winning entry, "Egregios" (Illustrious), of the Spanish P. L. Salvador. This novel tells the story of four people who cross his path finding and star in a fight between two extremes: materialism and sentimentality.

The second post was for, also spanish, Maria Cristina García Carrera and his work "The man of the yellow eyes". The protagonist of this story is a young woman who, after losing his father, has a disturbing nightmare every night, what will make a journey to the Galicia deep of the Ancares, in search of the origin of those dreams.

The first prize is a economical dotation of 1,200 euros, by way of royalties, and publishing and distribution of his work by the Imprimatur Foundation. Be given a honorable mention to the work that remains in second position will also consist of the publication and distribution of the work.

Furthermore, as is the first edition of the contests and although was not covered by the bases, the Imprimatur Foundation, granted an honorable mention to the three finalists what not were awared in the contest, in the form of a diploma.

The Imprimatur Foundation published a first edition of 2000 copies of the winning entry, "Egregios" and of the runners-up "The man of the yellow eyes". Fifty percent of the copies published will be distributed free in public libraries and cultural centers around the country for the dissemination and promotion of the authors and their work, and as part of the activities in the context of entertainment and reading and the promotion of Spanish Literature, has been making the Imprimatur Foundation.

In the awards ceremony will also present the first edition of the works of the authors, who signed some copies for the public attending the event.

At the ceremony speakers include: Alejandro Navas Delgado, president of the Imprimatur Foundation, Manuel Pinedo Alonso, secretary of the Imprimatur Foundation, Juan José Boyano, projects coordinator of the Imprimatur Foundation, and the winners of that first edition: P.L. Salvador and Maria Cristina Garcia Carrera. Also attending as guests of honor two of the three remaining finalists, the Argentine living in Spain Carlos E. Polimeni, author of the novel "Domingus" and the Cadiz woman Zara Patricia Vazquez Mora, author of the poetry book "Correspond to the silence." The Argentine Leonardo Montero Flores, author of the book "A journey of going and two of back", finally can't attend because residing in Buenos Aires, will collect the award on her behalf Luisa Jiménez Garrudo of the Imprimatur Foundation.
